Info on a crosman model 140

I recently picked up an antique airgun for my collection; a crosman model 140 and I think it was produced between 1955 and 1957. Currently it is in pieces and awaiting new seals from mac1 airguns and also scope mount. I was wondering if anyone has any information on it like: velocity, number of pumps or anything else that you think would help.

Thanks, Chappee

You will have fun with the 140. Amazon has a repair manual for the gun. It has a lot of the old advertising also. They are fairly easy to rebuild. They use 8 pumps for max velocity. I'm not in my shop, but if I remember correctly, velocity is around 550 fps in .22 cal. You can e-mail me anytime for additional information, be glad to help.
