.30cal Mini. I'll have to play around with it for a while in this config, it arrived shooting 44.75's at 874 (like 7 of the 9 were 874). I maxed out the reg real quick (2350psi?) to see how fast it would shoot 43.8gr NSAs, I had 6 of 9 at 922 and 3 at 920). Not bad for a little 16.5/17" TJ. No idea what the shot count is, but I haven't put air in it since it arrived, and the gauge says 3400psi.

Please let us know a shot count, ive asked jsar about shot count in the .30 forever and have never got a response. Kind of annoying..

Will do! I haven't had a lot of time to experiment with it today, but the needle barely moved when I was shooting in the 2200-2350psi range.

I depressurized it and felt the adjuster had a LOT more room to turn. I thought it was maxed earlier today, but I turned it up to 2600-2650 and the little 43.8's are shooting at 960fps now 👍 I don't really want to turn it up much higherwithout knowing what the official operating pressure is on thr high side.

The gun is damn quiet too. I mean there's definitely some big air output and all, but for a barrel this small - the shroud and tiny little Tatsu are truly all that are needed. What a BEAST!!!!

I still have a lot to learn about this rifle. I "think" I understand how to adjust the spring tension, not sure about the hammer buffer. Going to run with this short barrel for a little while and see just how large the slugs it's accurate with. I had cut down an identical TJ to 20.5", and it shot 57-66gr just fine. I'll probably begin my testing putting the reg back where it was and shoot some pellets first to benchmark shot count and see how it groups, but I plan to test every .30 slug that I own and figure out what it can do.

I'll put together a little mini-review once I get some time behind the trigger.

These 43.8's are already too light and too small lol .. I really don't want to shoot anything under 50, but I did have a problem earlier where a slug turned sideways in the mag. It only happened to one of them, but that has been a problem with every .30 cal mag fed PCP that I've had thus far 😢 (some worse than others)

Yes. It is a problem with shorter slugs and spring loaded magazines that use the pellets as a stop. The magazines with separate holes for each pellet are much better....the Brocock and Daystate spring ones that use the probe to index and the Taipan and old FX mechanically indexing ones.

Scott,

I know a few have been asking, could you provide a list of O-Rings and sizes?

Even better would be a parts diagram with numbers so we can keep these in top shape!

Lewis,

The valves internal seat IIRC a 1.5x11 metric

Valves primary and drop block 118's

Both in Buna /n 70 duro

Hammer Buffer o-ring a 118 in 90 duro buna

NO IPL I know of for public consumption ... Only Blue prints / CAD drawing thus far.

Lol ... that was your Mini ? When assembling that one was wondering how a mini would do in .30 caliber ?

Glad to see the effort at JSAR in getting out some guns has been to Forum members who are sharing there new Raptors and thoughts about how built and performing.

Most excellent !!

Scott S

I lucked out scoring this Mini from Mr. @Lewis here on AGN! I had been intrigued by the features and engineering into these Raptors, and had I have known then what I see now - I would have jumped on the pre-order list long ago.

The problem I have at the moment is figuring out the limits. My gut tells me the redline is ~2850psi (maybe even 3000)??? I also need to figure out what the breech and other o-ring specs are supposed to be, before I disassemble anything. Fortunately, I have 50-1000 of nearly every size in duro 70, but I can't find a list of them out there (How can that be?!)

I'm also not clear on he hammer adjustment. I see a fat female hex at the rear when I remove the buffer tube. Does that adjust the hammer tension by rotating it CCW/CW? I also see a screw on the left side of that area (in the middle position between two other holes). What does that screw secure exactly? Does it limit the travel of the hammer stop?

I want to shoot it more before I dissect it, but my priority is learning where the knobs are for tuning it!
