In need of picatinny rail for bipod

I have a couple of guns that need rails . Would like to hear what you use & supplier if poss. First one is a 22 cricket carbine with wood stock & the other is a 22 marauder in a Craftsman Vit wood stock . Also what length if it makes much difference I don't know anything about these except for the ones that came with my other guns . These have plenty of wood on the forearm so no need of special screws . TIA darell

I hope this will help with the picatinny rail install. As per Brian's suggestion at Edgun West I bought several gernaic and magpul 7 grove rail pices. I could not find the flat surface type so I carefully filed off the m-loc nubs and mounted them on fore end of several rifles, in one case using the swivel stud hole for one of the mounting screws . Shorter could work, but I like spreading the mounting screw holes more than shorter rails would allow. I sourced the picatinny rail pices of Ebay. db

any round bottom Weaver-Picatinny mount would work, of course i'm a little different then most

i buy what ever looks like it might work and put it in a box for the next project

and i would not screw the mount into the wood but use wood inserts

and Bio does have good ideas, where as you put in a sling stud and mount off that

For the Marauder, you could use a Hill barrel band. Although....it may put the bipod farther forward than you would like. Either way, it's a nice addition. Their website is going through maintenance at the moment but they have them for sale on eBay:

Excellent quality and also helps keep the barrel from moving and changing POI. Here is one on my Marauder.
