Improvements in the FX Impact MKII

I'm sure there are a few threads on this, but I'm not seeing everything I'm uncertain about. Can anyone point me to a definitive list of verified improvements that ship on the current production Impact MKII? I know there are the improved gauges, the 5cc larger plenum tube, and the large capacity mags shipping standard, but what are the internal changes shipping? Does it have the larger VS (5.5mm vs 6.5mm I think???), and the newer valve housing that has some new milling to it (part numbers for the valve housing are the same from the standard to the MKII, but I've seen pictures of a valve housing has material removed from what my Gen 3 has). Also, are they doing the transfer ports differently now (was it "elongated" I saw about this...)? What about the pellet probe... is that now machined differently? I'd really like to know what the total improvement package is on the MKII as it is being received now, and what improvements are just things that are getting shown while Earnest Rowe is developing them.

Thanks.

The impact is designed to be tunable from .177 caliber and up. So the standard impact can not have to many "boosts"as it might make it hard to tune for .177.

One change which is not mentioned much, is according to the specs at fx website, the .22 caliber version ships with a 600mm barrel. As far as I know the older version had a 500mm barrel . Only the .177 version use the 500mm barrel now. So those extra 10mm probably makes it more powerful and easy tunable when using a slug liner. That also makes it a litle longer than before in that caliber.

I just got a brand new Impact MKII yesterday after having many problems that couldn't be fixed with my previous MKII purchased in early April. This new Impact MKII looks the same but I've noticed a few minor improvements... It has a newly designed bolt probe, it's squared off at the back and stamped .25. The probes opening looks a little larger than with past models, although it's hard to tell, all mine are modified. The area around the magazine looks a little different, they got rid of the little rubber pads. The adjustment screw for the butt pad has a plastic knob that used to be round and now it's like an octagon so you can get a better grip. All minor things that I've found so far but FX is fixing little things as they go forward with production. Mine does have the one piece valve housing with the 6.35mm valve too. This gun also feels a lot smoother than my other gun ever did. Cocking is like butter and the trigger is light and crisp. Before I changed out the bolt probe or transfer port I was shooting the 33.95 MKII's at 960fps with my reg. set at just under 150BAR. I haven't installed the external plenum or modified valve housing yet but that should add some FPS!

Yeah that should add some! Is the probe holding block m4 screw now for the probe now? Noticed that in the schematics.

Yes, I think it's called the M4 grub screw. It's threaded and then where the threads stop it's tapered to a rounded point. I guess that's the best way to describe it. It's actually a nice tight fit and threads in very easily. It's better than the old grub screw for sure. It's a little longer too and the hole in the probe is tapered and a little deeper. It's a tiny modification but one that was needed. Just like the octagon shaped butt pad adjustment screw cap. You can tighten it down more easily now. Something feels different with the cocking mechanism too, but I haven't taken it apart yet so I can't say for sure. Maybe it just works better than my old one but it is much more smooth. AND...no leaks!!!

6.35mm valve seat is milled directly into the valve housing and that is the only internal difference. Ports and probe are unchanged. No reason to upgrade yet.

My MK2 came with a 5.5mm vs that was removable. I believe Jimmy had the same.

I didn't mention that because he specified current production.

Ah good point, oops missed that.

I'm thinking about picking up a MKII. Could you guys who received MKIIs with the 6.35mm integrated VS please share your serial numbers (in this thread or privately via PM if you prefer)? As some of these rifles float around for weird amounts of time before they end up being sold via a retailer, you can buy a new gun after someone else did, and get a gun that is older than that other person. I don't want to buy a new MKII that still has the older two piece and/or smaller VS. Just a matter of wanting to ensure a new rifle has all the new improvements available at the time of purchase. If I know a sn that shipped with the integrated VS, I can call the retailer and verify the sn of the rifle I'm going to buy.

Thanks for the help!
