I did a bit of shooting today and noticed the sidelever was opening slightly during the shot. I have the rubber ball in the right place i imagine anything i should check?

The lever should go slightly over center when you close it. Check the probe depth with it closed. It should e 45 mm.

Here is your problem. The reloading block pin sometimes bend and make the hole in the linkage (part A11 I think) larger. I had to change reloading block and lever linkage to fix the problem. If your reloading block pin in good shape, just change the lever linkage.

Thank you, had a look again and there is a little "ripple" at the top on the cocking lever side. I actually have a spare one for the Royale series and at first look its identical but the hole on the block side is slightly bigger for the bigger pin. I bet before they enlarged it was a direct fit.
The pin on the block looks fine, I unscrewed the block one turn from the rod and seems to be camming over now. Probe depth is good and stays far enough back to not cause issues. I'll order a linkage next time I order parts.

Update: Was going to drill out the second linkage I have to fit the impact pin. But after having a better look it's the exact same part as the Royale/Boss and probably others linkage.
