I'm rebuilding my Gen 1 Impact. All o-rings, new thicker valve seat, cleaning/polishing everything. Question. Would it be advisable to replace the valverod assembly C-4,while I'm at?

I know this may seem unlikely but I’m pretty sure Earnest did say he had seen c4 wear at the point it passes through the quad/oring. I think it would take many thousands of shots to become an issue.
Im not saying you should replace it. Just remember being surprised when I read that.

That the exact reason I'm asking. I'm rebuilding the Impact is because the quad ring failed. It's partially back together but I think it warrants me pulling it apart for another inspection and a polish like he does in his video. I'll insect it closely and I might give FX a call and discuss with them, but if it looks OK I'll probably keep it in.
