Impact on the way, what next?

I set out to buy a Crown and have ordered a .25 700mm Impact instead. I'm new to pcp and have alot of other gear Ill need and have no idea what Im really doing. I have a nitrogen tank waiting to be picked up and have a regulator that will hopefully work without having to spend more money there. I'll need optics and will likely go with a Hawke sidewinder because that seems pretty popular even though a Athlon Helos caught my eye. It seems the fx scope rings are a safe choice. I was told the side-shot magazine is good and seems so from what Ive read.

Ill need a chronograph so any recommendations there?

What about the bipod? Does anyone like or dislike the lower rail extensions? The rail extension might seem like a good idea with the longer barrel?

What about a Donnyfl Ronin moderator? Would that make the longer barrel too un-wieldy?

Im sure theres more that Im missing

I have a DonnyFL shroud and Ronin on my .30. The Donny shroud knocks off almost 1.5" from the FX version, so the overall length is increased by only around 5". It's an extra expense, but for the better quality it'a worth it... to me at least.

Does the Ronin make a audible difference? From what Ive seen on videos the difference Isnt much in "volume" more of a lower "tone". Ill be taking care of some ground squirrels in between paper punching so quieter the better either way is what Im looking for.

Why are you looking to pick up a Nitrogen tank? You can get a Yong Heng compressor and fill direct to the gun.(Just make sure you get a moisture filter)

I wont have to worry about water in the system with nitrogen. The cost for the lifetime lease and hardware(regulator, gauges) is about 1.7 times a nantong yongyiheng from my local shop, and only $26 a fill...and I get half the lease money back if I return the tank. I may also have a regulator that will work so that lessens my initial cost greatly. Seems like the small compressors are hit and miss at best as to whether they work out of the box, without even considering longevity.

Very Nice let us know how the nitrogen works? I can see the advantages of nitrogen being more stable than air.

As far as scopes go

- Athlon optics are great and offer lifetime warranty, Athlon Argos awesome

- Hawke Sidewinders also really good and affordable

- SWFA's are incredible for the price, built like tanks and very clear

- Vortex Viper Gen 2 PST and Vortex Razor HD Gen 2 ( Pricey but worth it ) also included lifetime VIP warranty

- MTC optics, Viper Pro really good but need to register for a 5yr warranty

- Nightforce SHV, have it in MOA, Center illumination reticle........amazing scope

These are my recommendations, hope this helps

hi get yourself a patchworm kit $12 it has all the sizes everything u need to clean a barell,,,do not just start turning knobs you can break stuff read the directions if the gun is cocked and you try to adjust forget about it broken and theres a couple other ways to break it by turning knobs when pressurized join DVOR shooting supplies takes a minute and free best scope prices going just had a sale all sidewinders hawke were like $350

I have a .30 impact and it's fan-freekin-tastic in my humble opinion.

I've got 2x of the Sideshot mags which are truly awesome

Also put an Athlon Helos on it with Vortex precision rings.

Got the cheap knockoff bipod and it works fine.

The thing is an absolute tack driver. It's by far my favorite of all my weapons.

How do you like the helos? Do the cross hairs seem blurry or too big at any magnification? Thats the scope Ive had my "eye on" ...nevermind airguns, Im going into comedy. Why did you choose the vortex rings instead of the fx no-limit ones?
