Impact MK2 30cal PP fps help

My impact mk2 30 cal has installed the new PP.

Without It, It was shooting 44gr at 905fps with around 135bar reg pressure.

I decided to go with the PP to be able to shoot 50gr at 900 fps but now It Only gets to 880fps with 44gr and 830fps with the 50s.

Initially I had to lower the reg pressure to around 100 bar and start incresing to gain velocity again. It only reaches around 880 and then more reg pressure starts Going down. My hammer spring is already maximized with the Allen key and WHEEL on max.

Is It normal for the 30 cal to only reach this fps. It does not make any sense does it?

Anybody can help me out or share your speed gains with 30 cal and PP

You will need to use your old hammer spring.

Hi Jeff

Have you tried using the valve adjuster.

If not, try winding it out, even past the 4th line if necessary.

You should get an increase in speed.

Hi Jeff,

You should be able to shoot 50gr. well over 900 fps with proper turning. My MKII with PP installed, I was able to shoot D-Rig 50 gr slugs (VK) around 940 fps. I have 700mm slug liner. Reg pressure at 122 bar, power wheel on number 5, and power adjustment nope on line 3.

If your regulator pressure under 143 bar your gun should be able to shoot without any modification on the hammer spring.

Did you increase hammer spring tension only with wheel or did you do it with allen key on the side of the wheel too?

I did It with the Allen key and also the valve is past the 4 line mark. I will try replacing the hammer spring with the old one to see if this solves the issue.

You lowered the Reg pressure so you should also lower the hammer preload, too much hammer it will also reduce speed/power......ask me how I know. Doh!

I am curious about your comment that too much hammer can reduce velocity. Can you go over that please. I’m playing around with tuning my Impact and would like to better understand what you mean. Thanks,

Hey guys

Just installed the old hammer spring and noticed It is like 3mm longer than the new one.

Now My mk2 is shooting 900fps with Only 110 bar reg pressure.

Thanks for your help.

I would like to hear from fx something about this because the PP upgrade gave me a Downgrade in adjustability and speed gain.

stock brand new impact pp .30 reg at 120 hammer spring tensioner maxed out and the wheel back at 4 a the valve on 3rd line shoots nsa 47.2 out of a pellet liner at 962 fps.

Put one in my friends and the same thing as jeff !only in a gen 1 could not get it more than787?had it apart 4 times,could not get it going any faster ,put the old hammer spring in and got 927 with the 50 grain jsb

At 140 bar on the reg did not make no sense with the pp kit used all the parts in it
