Tuning Impact M3 Oring List

I made an oring list for myself and just figured I'd share it. I was considering sending the list to and ordering from the Oring store. Does anyone have any other suggestions for ordering?

Disclaimer: The oring lists I'm uploading are for my personal use and may contain errors. Use it at your own risk and verify everything with FX before ordering any of the orings on the list. Also some of the orings that I am going to order are not exact fits, and I don't recommend doing that.

I was kinda in the middle of creating a longer list of possible outlets to procure 'O'-Rings and stopped there. The Packing and Seals is local to San Diego and I can either go there or have them ship to me, that's the reason they are listed first. The 'O'-Ring Store is one of the mainstays of folks on this forum to procure theirs from, among a couple of others.

Adding the pictures to my spreadsheet was a suggestion from a member here, thus I added it to my spreadsheet. Your spreadsheet works just fine, you can easily add the pics to it!

Shoot straight!

I gotcha I think I will try the o-ring store then!

Ok I used yours as an example and greatly improved the list. Added things like equivalent measurements, quantity needed, and pictures.

Ok here is the final oring list. It includes a few alternate sizes not in the previous version. Keep in mind that it may have mistakes and I also don't recommend ever using an alternative size.

Here is my exact order from the oring store. It was a nightmare getting all this together and we had to email back and forth many times. Hopefully if anyone wants to order some of the orings, this list will help out your sales person a lot. I dealt with Anson and he was really good to work with. I had to substitute some close matches because some of the orings were super hard to get a hold of. In fact, one was quoted to me for a quantity of like 25,000 because it had to be produced from scratch. For these super pricy orings, I decided to order some close matches. These alternatives may not work at all but they were super cheap to get since I was already paying for shipping. As I said before, I don't recommend this, but you will notice those alternatives on my order list.

This information was helpful and timely as I'm getting an M3 very soon! I put together an order @ Oringsandmore.com for every O-ring needed for a .177 and .22 Impact M3. I'm happy to share the order with catalog numbers once I finalize. It came to <$25 for just about 25 pieces of every o-ring! A lifetime supply for me and a friend that has 2 Impact M3s.

But there are a few exceptions/questions.

  • oringsandmore does not seem to have the PUR 90 o-rings. I think they are polyurethane. Are they called anything else?
  • 2 of the o-rings were 0.01 or 0.02 mm off in the ID. I figure that is close enough, but use with caution.
  • I did my best to get all of the measurements correct but wont cant guarantee I did not make a mistake
  • I will double check my cart/order tomorrow and hopefully find the PUR 90 - O-rings. If I can add those, the total price will be over $25 and I will get free shipping.

Hmmm I would be really interested in seeing that order since it sounds like you got a better deal and were maybe able to find some orings I could not. The oring store does have polyurethane orings though. I just found out about oringsandmore actually! I ordered some viton orings for my 8mm foster check valve and the seller was oringsandmore. They came in really fast and looked to be higher quality than the other viton orings I have!

Try and post your order or your cart when you get a chance because I was about to finalize my order today but now I guess I might wait and see what you were able to find! The free shipping option they have really cuts down a lot of cost!

Shoot, I should have ordered some extra and sent them to you and have you buy the polyurathane ones and send to me. Oh well, you need .25 anyway.

I did something similar when I bought my Redwolf. Got more than a lifetime supply of every oring needed, and had to "buy up" to meet the "free shipping". So far, only needed the ones in the barrel...

You can get one of everything from another o-ring shop for about $35. As you know it does take some time to scroll through the oring ordering website to get every single one.

I ordered them lastnight and this AM I got a notices that they shipped my order already

Good luck!

It's been awhile, but I finally got to working on this again. I had a very good experience with Orings and More. They were very easy to get a hold of, and their website is fantastic! https://www.oringsandmore.com/

I put in my order and it was free shipping unlike the Oring Store. The sizes were also a lot more spot on. The Oring Store had substituted some metric for SAE and some of them were quite a ways off from spec. At Orings and More I found every size needed in metric and there were only 3 that were off of spec. 2 were 1/100th mm off and 1 I rounded up from 6.35mm to 6.4mm.

Orings and More doesn't stock polyurethane orings so for oring 5107 I ordered Viton 90 and Silicone 75. For oring 19768 I ordered Buna 90, Silicone 75, Viton 75. These substitutes aren't ideal but once I had free shipping I decided to just throw them in there. I've found Viton to be very tough and good under high pressure.

I use a foster check valve when filling my tanks and currently use the oring size of oring 5107 (row 11 on excel sheet, 2.9x1.78) so I ordered extra of those in Viton 90. I also ordered 2.57x1.78 in Viton 90 as another size to try in that check valve. However I've been very pleased with the first size so far. The junky Buna oring that can in that check valve didn't even last one fill.

Here is the order with part numbers. Keep in mind that this is for the .25 barrel. It was $31.25 total which I think is a great deal!
