Impact lost power

What he said, remove the tank and drain the plenum before you start as stated above. Then unscrew the valve adjuster, wrench off the valve stop, it's 11mm, and then grab hold of the hammer seat and pull on it. If it comes off in your hand then it came loose and apply some locktight before reinstalling it. Otherwise once it is pulled out you can see the c3 bumper. Older Impacts had the soft o-ring bumpers and shooting higher powers would eventually damage/destroy them. New one's have the Delrin or nylon bumpers that seldom have problems.

I spoke a little quick. the end is disconnected. however the rod is frozen.. there are pieces of what i can only say is Delrin. must be C3. I've fished a partial ring and a small piece from the housing. still rod doesn't move. I'll have to take her down. where does one get a new Delrin ring. I live in the middle of nowhere. weeks to get fom fx.

had this rebuilt 1 1/2 years ago @ SPAW. Ken put a new rod in @ that time . I had an original Impact. He put a new rod that took the Delrin. .

Just in case: Did you empty the plenum on the gun? By that I mean the reg gauge has to show zero pressure. If there is air left, it is probably hard to pull out, because of the pressure keeping it closed.
