Impact leaking air out of barrel

So my fairly new Impact is now leaking air out of the barrel. I took it apart to see if I could get it fixed. The valvseat looks like it might be damaged.

There is a lip on the one side now. I dont think this is normal. Would that be causing the leak? If so what is the fix for it? Thanks

Looks like it’s been pounded into the seat. Definitely time for a replacement. I’d call FX USA and order a new one . That does not appear to be normal wear and tear though. Do you have any mods done? What regulator pressure are you running?

Reg pressure is about 140. I just replaced the C3 washer with a derlin one. The gun has less than 300 rounds thru it. I will have to call FX on Monday.

Thing is that for every Impact owner who has a problem, there are probably dozens who haven’t had an issue. So it’s the luck of the draw? But it shouldn’t be the case on such a high ticket item. But it happens and no brand is immune.

Thinks like this can happen with any gun brand. I had issues with my Warp. But they fixed it up for me. I also had to send my Slayer back for problems. I get it, it happens. I have 2 Impacts and one more on the way. They are great guns. These things can happen to any brand. What sets companies apart is how well they take care of you after the sale.

I just hope FX can get me a new seal out soon.

I just got off the phone with FX USA. I didn't have any trouble reaching someone on the phone. I told him my problem and he is shipping out everything that I need and then some. He said he wants to make sure I have everything that might be causing the leak. That is great service is my book. They said they like having people work on the guns themselves if they can do it, That is why they put up the videos. I really like that about FX. I always hated having to send guns back in. I would much rather just fix it myself.

I had the exactly same problem. I changed all 5 O rings there and problem solved.

O-rings repaired a deformed delrin seal ?
