Impact has arrived!! (well, most of it) And a factory fixed shroud!

I am still in the waiting list for the Impact. Knowing the design has been altered, I requested Jim from Precision to make sure he ships the latest version with fixed shroud (which I also "believe" is better - one less maintenance item). In addition, I think there are some .25 and .30 barrels with telescopic shroud available somewhere and I would feel very uncomfortable receiving something I know the factory has already changed.

In such a small and specialized market (comparing to other industries) this change really creates a situation where customers potentially can be disappointed with the manufacturer. A respectable manufacturer listens to the market and takes the right measures. If not, they run the risk of losing reputation which converts at the end in $$$.

I'm glad products evolve and improve. When my Impact arrives, I won't care what has changed. I don't know the total number of Impacts produced or the ratio of those that function well and those that do not......those that function poorly because of FX, or because of abuse....intended or not.
The Impact is unique.....not a Boss......not a Bobcat or Wildcat.
