Impact disassembly question for Gen 1

I have an Impact from Oct. 2016 which makes it a Gen 1. But maybe it’s a Gen 2. Anyway it has a slow leak and I’m disassembling to replace all the o-rings.
I've run into a problem at the valve assembly. I watched the master class video where Ernest uses modified vice grips to remove the hammer stop by unscrewing it.
On mine it looks like a 1.0 or maybe even a 0.5 mm Allen grub screw holding it. My 1.5 mm won’t fit it.
so two questions

Is really a grub screw and

What size of a it?

Thanks for the help

Yeah I was able to mic it and my reading came close to 1mm. I did find it in the FX schematic. I’ll have to order some smaller Wiha Allen’s.
I’ll probably order the C3 Delrin stop ring and a new valve seat from FX. Hoping they are selling the stronger valve seat Ernest created. Has anyone replaced their’s who can verify that the replacement is stronger?

Thanks again

That's weird one has the grub and one doesn't....there is a grub screw in the schematic on the FX support page for older Impacts. It's so small I'll have to recheck when I get home from work to see if there's actually one in there.

I don't have a torch but I do have a heat gun.

I just found the video that does confirm the size of the hammer seat grub as 1.0 mm

Well, in the video that followed after the one above Ernest states that he has seen some that have the hole but no set screw.....so...gonna check carefully before I start ordering 1 mm keys from Europe.

I see you're in North Carolina. The Harbor Freight allen key sets all have 1.0mm hex keys in them and are very affordable. I got mine from Harbor Freight in Charlotte.

I checked with the Harbor Freight website and none of their sets had a 1.0 mm key. Wish I’d seen your post and gone down to the HF here in G’boro.
Seems the moment I give up and pull the trigger, this happens. Haha. Thanks for all the input guys. Might go and have a look at the store here today. Guess then I’ll own a cheap 1.0 and a real expensive 1.0🙄🙄🙄
