Impact barrel

Is there anywhere to buy just the normal smooth twist barrel for the impact? I don't need a probe or shroud.
I had and extra barrel but I gave it to my buddy. Now the problem is the .25 barrel I have is garbage.
no matter what I do it's not accurate past 50 and get violent spirals.
anyhow anyone know a place to buy just a barrel?

"Keyman62421"you can get a x barrel only. you'll have to order it. AOA or Airgun Depot, or Utah airguns.
or you could probably buy or trade for a barrel from someone (like me) who is going to upgrade to a 700 mm x barrel. but whose to say the barrel you get would be better than the barrel you have????
I guess it's not a guarantee to get a more accurate one BUT out of the 4 I have shot ( i had 2 my buddy had 2) this the only one with the horrible spiraling.
but now if i can get only the X barrel that wouwould he the way to go if I'm already buying one.
But I'm not really looking for an X so if someone had a quality barrel I could use one lol

I have a 700mm ST .25 FX Impact barrel kit for sale in the classifieds right now. This is the same type used by many at the EBR. I bought it originally from Tomico.
good guy on the forum already hooked me up with one of the 700mm st barrels. But thanks!

"AirSupply"So 700mm smooth twist do exist?
This is the first time I’ve ever heard of it. Lots of rumours but that was all.
So Ted did have a longer barrel but normal ST not ST-X
Yes sir they are very real. I always thought a couple of the "youtube" impacts had longer barrel's.
so yeah I assume Ted had 700mm Standard ST Barrel. I'll leave it at that lol

DEDill,
Could I suggest that before you trash that barrel, if it originally shot OK, use a stiff bristle cleaning brush, preferably on a short handle, and give the last three inches of the muzzle end of the barrel a good scrub with Ballistol or a good rimfire barrel cleaner. Be careful not to rub the twisted wire part of the brush across the crown of the ST barrel.
Then clean the whole barrel with patches - women's face make-up cleaning patches are fine and don't shed fluff - with the Ballistol or whatever you have. Finish with a couple of pull-thoughs with dry patches.
Let us know what the results are.

Lead and bits of lead can get shed at the entry to the rifled section of an ST barrel, ie., the last couple of inches of the barrel, particularly if using a few different pellets of harder (more antimony) lead than JSBs, or dirty pellets like Benjamin/Crosman .25s. That rubbish WILL mark pellet heads non uniformly, and cause spiral flight - particularly in the pellet's descent phase after passing over the apex/apogy of its trajectory flight on longer shots.

Disregard the above if you know it all and have already carried out the procedure. But there are those who still feel that no barrel needs cleaning as they seldom shoot past 50 yards and or are lucky enough to have one of those barrels which is ultra smooth - or are just happy with its plinking accuracy at relatively short range.
Anyway, good luck DEDill, ... and Kind regards from Harry Downunder.

thanks for all the advice! I did try all the stuff you suggested. And more lol.
Monday iI actually polished the whole barrel and nothing really changed.
The spiral I get is just like when you WAY overpower and .177 pellet well any pellets for that matter. Its very erratic and unpredictable. Crazy thing is at 50 yards it's one hole, I assume that its just consistantly spiraling on paper at 50.

I made a post about the impact when I first got around to checking it out and tuning it. And in that post I talk about this barrel and the IMO bad quality. It had weird bumps and was kinda pitted but I figured I could try to get it to shoot but no luck.
