I'm sure you have all done it but this is weird!!

Hey guys. So I hear my wife yell out from the laundry those words that I'm sure most of you have heard. "I found pellets in the washing machine again". Whoops!

I went and collected the culprits and found some crazy results. All pellets are JSB 18.13 grain .22 cal. But a bunch of them came out with varying levels of deformity, especially around the waist. Has anyone else seen anything like this? I cant for the life of me think how it has happened but I thought I might share the new pellet designs from Fisher and Paykel.

Do you have a modern, high efficiency washer? Looks like those were spun at high speed and had some deformation imparted.

It is just from spinning and making contact. I have found pellets (once cause i got grounded by wife) coins, buttons and other goodies with weird lines and smooth edges in my machine.

Did it at least improve your accuracy? I can actually say I have never done such a thing with pellets anyway. Best I had was my step daughter left a green Crayon in her clothes.

Too funny. I just got yelled at a couple days ago for leaving .45 slugs in my pockets. Yup, they went through the wash. Good thing she found them there, because we just baught a new $1200 dryer 2 weeks ago. That would not have been a pleasant conversation!

Not yet in the washer/dryer, but I dumped a tin in the garbage disposal once. That was a nightmare.

Been there of course. But her biggest yell was the tissues I left in my pocket. Bits of paper every where. The pellets don't seem too bad after that.

YEP. been there too. Ours is a front load and when the drain stops up it throws a code. I have to unscrew a big plug and take everything out. Usually end up with lots of change, pellets, earings (not mine BTW), pepples, pins, washers, nuts - you get the idea. Guess I'm not good at cleaning out my pockets.

I emptied my Mrod mag of JSB 18.1g into my pants pocket last year and they went through the wash. The heads were smoother, like they had been lightly shot peened but the skirts were smoothly rolled inward to about .20 caliber. I'm tempted to shoot them and see if the air blast expands the skirts and if they have any accuracy at all.
