I'm Stepping Away from BullPups.

For myself I was never much of a fan of Bullpups until I shot a few of them.I love the balance of them but agree that most have issues carrying a scope well. Not much of a fan of high up "look"of the scope either. I will say this, the two that really have stood out to me as "impressive" have been the FX Bobcat and the American Air Arms Slayer. These two guns have made me reopen the idea of owning one. The stock setup you have created Manny is very funcanable and quite good looking too.Guess we have to just go with whats comfortable for each of us a shooters/hunters.

"ajshoots"I was more interested in why you didn't like a pistol for your application. I fully understand you are a Korean airgun fan and don't like much else.
Well, I'm actually a pistol Guy and been searching for "THE" pistol since the beginning, I had a DAQ 9mm, a DAQ .452, a DAQ .50 two Evanix AR6 .22 and that Maurader .25 ....still searching.

BTW I got nice Hogs both with the 9mm and .50 DAQs

Here is what I tell anyone that asks about the difference is styles, longer rifles, carbines seem much more forgiving to me and a much more comfortable and pleasant to shoot. Bull pups are easy to cant if you aren't paying attention and the bolts are not in a real handy spot (until wildcats came along) but if you are going to be hunting out of cab of a truck a bullpup is without a doubt the gun you want.
I know I may sound like a hillbilly but let's face it,road hunting squirrels and rabbits or parking in dairy farms where a hide is limited is pretty dang effective.

This is an FX take down rifle that shoots both pellets and an arrow. There is video of the owner of AOA taking a warthog in Africa. There is also a demo showing the differences in flight of a arrow from a bow verses the Verminator Extreme. They claim that because the arrow which is pushed with air from the front of the arrow instead of being pushed from behind with a bow has less "wobble" and a strighter flight path. There is video showing the flight path of an arrows from both. There was also a guy from Germany who at the FX plant did the "Robinhood" with 3 arrows. Appears to be quite accurate with an arrow. Please let me know what you think?

Ho yeah, I remember Harry (Yarrah) posting about that gun years ago on the yellow and he was getting real good groups with it.

If I have to hunt with an arrow than I much rather use my virtually silent Traditional bows where I can shoot a much heavier harrow as well as being able to have a followup shot in about 1-2 seconds.

Since it's an FX gun I expect it to be a bit underpowered for my uses and definitely much to expensive :) :) :)

I know this talk is of a bullpup with a scope, but has anyone considered using a red dot? Not asking to be cynical it's an honest question a 4x red dot zeroed at 40 gives you a 10 yard perspective
I have been thinking of a bullpup for hog hunting because it allows for a front rig and easy brush hogging. Wish I had the 750 available because I would have jumped on the 357 in classifieds.

Even in powder burners bullpups aren't usually rigged for long distance shooting but for fast response in tight quarters.
