I'm Spoiled

I got my RWS 34 back from John In PA and although it was bought in 2007, I probably only shot a couple tins of pellets through it. Even though I wasn't having any issues with it I wanted John to go through it and replace the spring with a Vortek spring and check everything out.

His chrony string shot an average of 835.2 using H&N 8.64 pellets. I shot it over my chrony using a lighter JSB 7.33 pellets and they were flying an average of 875.3.

BUT....I never realized how much the 34 beat the heck out of me until I shot the FWB 300. A gentleman's springer for sure.

I wish I never sent the 34 out, even though the RWS 34 is a sweet looking springer with the carved stock and looks like new I could have put the money into another 300.

Yup, I'm spoiled for life, but in a good way.

You have a fine light hunter now. 13 or 14 fpe and I've had two guns go to John, both of them came back shooting well under 2 MOA both are 20 fpe rifles. One was a D48 and the other was a D460. I'll bet your 34 is an MOA rifle now. My plan is to have the 350 and Model 36 in to John this year. He does excellent work.
