I'm seeing double red dots

I have seen a faint second sit when the brightness is set to maximum can you try turning down the intensity a notch or two? 

Look at a light or lane line at night, you may see the same double image. If not it could be the optics itself.

Sounds like its the optic. 

I get a fuzzy, overlapping second dot when I look through my only red dot. 

I watched a YouTube video & it said if you look through the red dot while rotating it & the second dot doesn't rotate with the scope it's due to your vision, most likely astigmatism.

They also suggested looking through a red dot through the camera on your phone. If the dot distortion disappears then it's likely your vision.

A Prism sight is your only hope "at this point" in life. That's what I'm defaulting to now if I want a RD type site. Or else just get a 1-?x24 riflescope.

I would also try a holographic. I looked through an Eotech & it was better than my red dot. Prism was even better, though.
