Griffin slugs thank you!!
My Discovery, Marauder, Rainstorm, magnum springers!!
Even my .215 bore 29” x 0.753” 2 L&G Benchmark sends these like lasers.
Griffins new .217 19 grain TC HP. Or SP, ballistic tip. It’s the truncated cone base that allows constriction at choke. And my Benchmark choke is at .213”
Griffin makes a deep hollow base, and this TC hollow base so no over obturation occurs from massive blast power. I’m gonna be trying these in 12 grains to 28 for R1 to FX Elite with power mods from the speed maker 29” barrel.
That’s why I don’t like short barrels. Not for slugs that need high revolutions to stabilize. Our AG twists are usually too slow; but send them fast enough and RPM’s increase also.
Same principle on my Scandalous w/ 0.750” 28”’Lilja 1:14 twist.
According to AF, optimal slug weight is 68 grains for 1:14. Mine sends 86 grain RBT’s better than I can shoot without a F-class rest because it’s spitting those beasties out at 1000+fps easily.
A 32” 0.750” 1:10 SS Lilja will be used for up to 120 grain RBT .257’s or lower weight ULD Griffins.
It can push those at 1000fps also. Yes, only one max power shot but that’s what my step down in-line reg & Alkin W31E Mariner is for.
