I've have narrowed it down to these two. Please no other suggestions. If you had to pick the better, which one and why? Element Helix 6-24X50 (second focal plane) OR Sightron S Tac 4-20X50 (second focal plane). Thank You!!
I prefer the 4-20x power range. The reason is I do more field shooting than bench. The 6x is a bit too narrow field of view for hunting. My ideal power range is 3-18x, although this is a rare option among the quality glass providers.
Sightron the 4x will be more useful. Sightron is Japanese.
6x is a mistake for any hunting rifle. Helix is made in China, and I have discontinued buying Leupold for this very reason. I just don't see quality in Chinese-made scopes; they just look and feel cheap.
