If you only had 1 Airgun to keep ...

Currently I have the Benjamin Bulldog and Marauder pistol. In the mail is the Ataman Ap16 compact and a FAS 6004. Thinking real hard on getting a Evanix Rex P in .357 as well.

Can't say for certain until I shoot them, but my thoughts would be towards the AP16, Small, easy to pack, still has the power and accuracy (according to reviews) for smaller game (grouse, quail and the like) I would miss the quietness of the Marauder pistol though, I suppose the Ataman has the moderator available.

In a total survival, grab and go, back country situation it is hard to say what I would keep and want. Low weight is always a key player, but must be coupled with accuracy and something that can give you the power to reliably take game. The downside to all pcps is you have to have a hand pump, that's extra weight and pack space. Which takes the thoughts to springers, but most springers have a bit of weight to them as well. That's is why I lean to pcp pistols, a pistol/hand pump combo comes to a similar weight to many rifles alone pcp or springer.
In this scenario I would be hard pressed between the AP16 and the Rex P (if I had it), I suppose the Rex P .357 would win out due to it's take down abilities of being a larger round.
Were it not limited to just one gun I would pack the Rex P, AP16 and FAS 6004. All three combined barely weigh in the same as many rifles. Granted I can well see the argument of a rifle having further reach, which is well to consider.

I’m having it buried with me!
