I think the shrouded model of the O/S model Wildcat would still be mousefart quiet compared to what is delivered to us here in Oz. Silencers are a prohibited item but if you want to do all the paperwork and comply with the rules& regulations associated with a prohibited item then you can have a silencer I believe, but for the average Aussie shooter it is too difficult to be bothered with.
Paulcat, I should be able to answer your question regarding noise from a FX500 in a week or two, I am waiting for mine to arrive, it will be regulated and I am guessing it will probably be as loud as my Huntsman .22 at 40plusfpe before I detuned it, think standard velocity rimfire loud. Where abouts are you in Oz?

My FX Wildcat .25 is shooting JSB Exact King 25.39 grain pellets at 712 fps. That's just under 30 fpe. It should be shooting at 47 fpe.

Hi Richard,
Are you certain your regulator is the root cause for the low energy you are observing? There are various other potential root causes including a misaligned transfer port, bad spring, or your hammer throw set too short.
I suggest creating a new post under the Manufacturer Feedback forum called Question for FX: .25 Wildcat Power Too Low. This should improve your odds of getting a direct response from them. You may also want to give your dealer a call since your rifle is still covered under it's warranty and should be fixed for free. If you decide to try and fix by yourself, you run the risk of voiding that warranty.

Would the .22 impact shroud remove the same way as the wildcat shroud, by heating the rear end of the shroud and simply untwist?

The price I was given by AOA on the spare barrel and probe per caliber was $440.00 and $99.00 for the magazine. If they are now TBA hopefully they are reducing it.

The FX Wildcat cheek rest isn't left hand friendly, but Air-Fective makes a great piece to fix that.

I've asked Ernest twice with no reply. Perhaps someone here will know. To regulate a Royale 400 with power adjuster, do you just add the reg and drill the vent hole or are there more parts needed? Valve? I have asked AoA twice with two different answers given. Does anyone know for sure?

Tried it myself, long story short, reg. and 2mm drill are all you need.
Tried the stock and SHP valve, but the stock valve will do just fine to reach 900fps with 18.1 jsb's.

Thank you for the reply. I may have to give it a try. If I was going to have to buy another hundred dollars in parts I was going to just forget it. It shoots well the way it is, but I do like to tinker.

Need some help to identify the threads on the fixed shrouds for Impact.
Should be the same as for the telescopic version, the end closest to the shooter.

My .25 fx glad which is similar to a royale 500 is like a 22 rimfire wo the moderator.

I received my Crown yesterday and am somewhat underwhelmed at the sound reduction the extendable shroud offers. Even extended it is no more quiet than my Marauder is.
My question is will a none extendable shroud/moderator be available at some point?
I absolutely adore every other thing about the Crown other than the noise

Mine is a .25 as well. So is my Marauder, which is noticeably quieter, although it's only running at ~860fps vs ~900 for the Crown.
