Well gonna keep my promise, I got her in today and put a Vortex Diamondback 4-12 on her.

Put seversl shots though it this afternoon. Started with the JSB 8.4 gr but they were not that accurate. Had a few H&N FTT 10.34 in 4.52 head size and shot much better. Ended up shooting some H&N Barracuda Match in 4.51, they were most accurate thus far.

The JSB’s chrony’d at 930, Didn’t get to chrony the 10.34’s.

Pellet order won't be here till next week, have more info then,

Here is a group at 30 yds after about 100 rounds though her,

OK, this is gonna give my age away, but my fave all-time pellet is one not made any more: the red-tin .177 Eley Wasp.

I shoot mostly older and lower-powered springers This 7.3-gr roundhead was perfectly matched weight and dimension-wise to most guns in that category, and was bar none the most consistent bulk-packed ammo I’ve ever seen. They were absolutely consistent from one tin to the next, too, really some astonishing quality control.

The JSB Exact 7.3 and its close cousin the Air Arms Falcon are the closest modern equivalent, but the Wasp was unmatched.

Thanks guys, MDriskill I'm getting on up there myself. If I can make it till Thursday I'll be 57myself, these ole eyes are not as good as they once were!!

Ive tried the AA 10.34 and they seem to shoot just as good as the FFT's. The 77 shot the 8.4's at 920-930. Seemed a little fast for me, the 10.4's seem to shoot smoother in the 77.

Hopefully the pellet order will be in this week so I can do more testing. Only problem so far with this gun is the action bolts loosen every 25 or so shots. did the blue loc-tite on them yesterday, hopefully this will work. If not I'll try the VibraLock and try it.

Happy Holidays everyone

Ronald

Got my pellet order in yesterday and shot several different pellets in it, those tested were:

JSB 8.44 GR

JSB 10.34 GR

H&N BARRACUDA 10.65 GR

H&N BARRACUDA MATCH 10.65 GR

H&N FTT 8.64 GR 4.51

H&N FTT 8.64 GR 4.50

CROSMAN PREMIER LIGHT 7.9 GR

AA 8.44 GR 4.52

AA 10.34 GR 4.52

AFTER ALL SAID AND DONE THE WINNER WAS THE AA IN 10.34 GR. THE H&N FTT's AND THE H&N BARRACUDA MATCH WERE RUNNER UP's

IT SHOT .23 CTC AT 30 YDS IN A 5 SHOT GROUP,

LOOKS LIKE ANOTHER PELLET ORDER,

Nice shooting. I too spent the last 2 weeks or so trying different pellets. I was not happy with the Crosman Premier HP's (I was getting flyers about every 5th shot). After a few trials, I settled on the 8.6 gr H&N Field Target Trophy in 4.52mm. It made a world of difference, the quality from pellet to pellet seems very consistent, and groupings are very tight for my expectations.
