which of these 3 pellets would you choose for hunting Hades, Predator Polymag, or Barracuda Hunter assuming they all feed fine and you are using a caliber appropriate for the size of the quarry?

Ive had excellent results with all 3 in .22 at different times although the polymags are usually more barrel picky and not as accurate at longer distance...say past 50 yards! Some will argue but in my experience this is the case. In my s410 they shoot about 1" groups at 50 but now if i switch to metalmags it's a laser beam! So I guess it comes down to what is most accurate in your gun? Barracuda hunters are a great pellet too but you really have to push them for any kind of real expansion being made of harder lead...
I've been using the Hades as of late and at 850fps and above hit really hard! And they are very accurate in most of my guns. Even my HW80K springer...

1) the one that groups tightest at 30yd rested.
2) the one with the highest ballistic coefficient: highest retained velocity at 30yd (need chronograph), or least drop at distant target.

For me, it all comes down to accuracy. I have tried all three. At least in my .22s, the Hades it extremely accurate, the Baracuda Hunter only fair, and the Polymag beyond 35 yards is totally unacceptable.

In .22 for squirrel body shots I like the Hunters. They expand well leaving at 930fps on shots from 20-50 yards. They almost always expand and stop on the opposing hide. I have the Hades as well and they will usually pass through making the same shots.
I can’t comment on the Polymags, never tried them because even if there is a small performance boost I can’t justify the price.

For me , accuracy being equal, polymags for birds. Some of the best expansion. As for fur , hades or hunters - depends on head shots or body. I use domes myself for headshots so I would favor the hunters with harder lead. Probably hades if body shots.
