If FX can, so can I! Telescoping shroud

This modification is 100% legal and is permanently attached to remain as such. I know this area is very gray and touchy so if this topic needs to be deleted/locked I understand.

FX does their telescoping shroud differently, with o-rings that allow one tube to slide over another. I copied their design but was unhappy with the results due to inevitable o-ring failure/required maintenance ect...

I won't go into build details as that is likely a thin line I don't want to go down. It locks down in both positions (open/close). The extension has no baffles but a ridiculous amount of volume (45~ cc's) which is 3x the barrels volume in a .25 cal which means a lot of pressure drop before the air finally exits the end. The extension is the same size as the barrel band's OD to retain a good symmetrical finish when the shrouds collapsed, and it threads onto the open or closed position with 3/4 threads . I couldn't be any more happier with the results both cosmetically and functionally.

Never stop innovating...although I have modified my rifle beyond what any sane/normal person would, the steps I have taken in the 1.5 years of owning the rifle has prompted many others to follow suit and I hope many find this idea/concept fruitful to your future tinkering!
