Ideas for Pellet Tin Storage Rack

While not nice enough for a wall display, I second the idea of an inexpensive wire rack. That's what I use in the garage for 'overflow'

Inside the house I use a similar metal rack, the shelves of which are like 14"x14". I think it may have been sold and used as a shoe rack, but we replaced it with something else in its original location, so it was 'available' for other uses.

Im building one using 2, 21/2, 3 and 4” pvc pipe sections cut in 1/2 laterally. The shelf part can be anything from a lag bolt to a piece of wood roundsd and secured or a flat strip even, havent decided. Easily covered or painted, can be mounted to anything really and made to any size. I might cut only the bottom tin height to 1/2 and the rest to like 2/3, so it can act as a dispenser.

Thanks to all for some great ideas, well, maybe not that PEZ Dispenser of Joe Wayne Rhea. Gun room has antique wooden gun cabinets and racks, so was looking to match that, if possible. Think SteveP-52 is on the right track, organization like that is what I want. The way you guys have re-purposed and organized your stuff is a thing of beauty, thanks for sharing and for the pics.

Mine started out just being .25, then .22. The rest came about after a couple in .177, then an interest in .20 and buying 8 rifles in the caliber, so mine has taken 6 years to get where it is...lol. Only bought in bulk a couple times, once from Amazon when they had H&N Sniper Mediums for $3.64 a tin and PA when they had a crazy deal on the .177 Baracuda Hunters. The rest has been 2-4 here, 2-4 there, buying from forum members. Some from Ebay.

Storage was another issue...lol. Those cabinets, 3 wall racks to fit 9 (I have a 4 but not a big enough wall to put it on..lol), gun cases both hard case and soft for the better rifles. I have assorted stuff scattered in a few places...lol.

Mike and Strever,

Yes, Yes and yes! Exactly same thing dawned on me yesterday when searching eBay and Amazon. Who else uses similar size tins? Shoe polish and smokeless tobacco. See, I knew if I asked, AGN members would come thru. The shoe polish displays look awesome, vintage enough to fit right in gun room. Gentlemen, I thank all who've responded, you helped me clear the brain fog and pointed me to a perfect solution. I'll update final decision.

Mochajoe,

A week ago I was crying in my beer over having no pellets for my PCPs. Noticed an AGN post about ZAN Projectiles, in Slovenia, who's now stocking JSBs in .22,.25 and .30. I clicked the yellow ZAN flag, scrolling at page top, and visited site. Since, I've ordered twice totaling over $300. They use DHL Express which flies right over those ships waiting to unload and package arrives 4-6 days. Packaging would survive a plane crash and best of all, I'm only paying .06 cents per pellet, shipping included. Check anywhere else, price per pellet up to .22 cents, if you can even find them. Pellets no longer my concern, pellet storage is.
