I think this little compressor is going to be a hit!

Got this in an email from Airgun Depot. This little unit is boasting some decent times for such a small compressor. I like the mini in-line desiccant filter as well! I think it's going to be a nice compressor for those that travel with their rifles or a decent stepping stone towards a larger, faster compressor later on down the line.
Here's the link.

I was looking at its specs and if I recall it’s 15-20 minutes to fill a gun like a crown and I didn’t read anything about about its ability to separate/filter the moisture from the air. It’s only made to fill guns not tanks it may be a good replacement for a hand pump but that’s it, id rather use my money towards a compressor with the ability to fill a tank. This one seems to have an output like a booster compressor
will it be a hit only time will tell but I think it will only be a hit to your wallet.

That little brass piece on the fill line is a dessicant filter. yeah, 15 minutes to fill 490cc but, that’s from 0-3000. I wish they would post more realistic numbers. Most shooters wouldn’t routinely fill from 0psi. Wouldn’t it be less time to go from ~2175 (150b) to 3625 (250b)? Personally, I only fill to 220b which would mean only 2175 to 3190 for a shooter like myself.
Your right, it has the output of a booster. However, it’s stand alone, portable, and priced about the same as most boosters I know of. To me, that’s more bang for the buck.
Naturally, this will lead to the question of maintenance, heat buildup, wear and tear, and the end users ability to perform maintenance & repairs.
Time will tell, and I’m curious to see how it stacks up.
Regardless, I will say this... the freedom of having your own HPA any time you want it is really awesome! 😎

it would be cool to see a battery powered option ,,dont no if its possible or feasable something like a motor cycle batterey for those long deep woods weekend im sure there would have to be a lot worked out, like the battery life and weight ,,just throwing it out there ,,i have a 6 month old AV COMPRESsor thats great but a little one like that to take on trips would be great ,to bad its gun only for fills ,,at least were getting more designs and options ,,soon i belive well get the small bottle filler option ,,

This compressor is just a tiny step up from a hand pump. The only way I could see it working out well if you had a rifle with interchangeable tanks so you swap out while one is filling. As far as tethering goes maybe if you shoot slow otherwise it may not keep up with you. I see there are a few companies moving into this electric hand pump business. . AirForce, sun optic, Benjamin (I think it’s the same one) if you plan on using it with your car battery get a interface that will keep you from draining the battery where you can’t start the car. I forgot what you call them they used to sell at radio shack.

When you figure the weight of the battery with the compressor I think a 94 cf tank will give you a weekend of fills and weigh half as much. If I went on a extended trip I would throw my compressor in the truck and fill tanks bake at the motel. But since I don’t go on Shooting vacations I don’t worry about it.

I am still trying to figure out how this would be a better option than a carbon fiber tank? Yes it's portable but it still is going to have to stay in the truck where there's a power source, right where you would be keeping your tank if you don't want to carry it with you, and there is the option of carrying the tank with you while the little compressor is going to need a heavy battery along with it to be of any use to you. Carbon fiber tank is going to fill guns quickly while you are going to spend a lot of time waiting on this little compressor to fill a gun.
