Well its good you finally admit it, thats a good step towards recovery! Actually I too use it all the time to mark metal things, it holds up well, is bright, and can be removed fairly easily. On scopes I use two small dots of some bright red I “borrowed “ from my wife to mark my diopter settings so I can always make sure I haven’t inadvertently turned it out of adjustment.

I don't use black targets. I can't see holes in black targets. A white piece of paper with a red dot is best for me. If shooting for group size I click an inch off the red bull so as not to shoot my aiming point out. I can see evert shot.
