My little 6-8 oz bowl wasn't cutting it for a 5-6 hour fill with the Altaros Booster. Got this big boy that take almost a full quart of desiccant media.

What's the psi rating on that trap? I thought about one of those but couldn't find one rated at 4500psi or above. Be safe!

I think it's in the 200 psi range. This is for the feeder compressor to the Altaros so pressures are in the 100-120psi range.

Ctshooter is right he is separating removing as much water as as possible before it gets into his altaros. Now on the high pressure side you want to put a water separator/ filter something like this.
As more water will be removed after it has been compressed more. On this side the fittings are important as many are not rated for 5000 psi.

I have something similar on my home made altaros. But like ctshooter I need something better on the low pressure side..

My pre Altaros filter holds some 800cc~49cui of silicagel desiccant and while i have to change it once every hour, my HP filter only has to be changed every 5-6 hours. So i think im pretty golden

Surprisingly it is holding up still after all this time. I'm debating about adding a third or 4th hand pump to it. Biggest issue I had was when I forgot to open the valve causing me to damage one of my gauges. I just have to keep an eye on things, maybe install a burst disk somewhere.

Thanks Sean, basically that's what happens during covid and having way too much down time. I really dunno if I could do that again now that work has picked up!
