I have to apologize...

It's only price gouging if you pay it! We live in a capitalistic society that encourages free market trade. You can ask whatever you want, if someone is willing to pay, good on you. If you feel the price is too high and you can purchase elsewhere, purchase there. I see a lot of things in the Classified I feel are over priced, I just pass them over and move on. I see no reason to call someone out on it, it's their decision and if it sell for asking price, I also see nothing wrong with that.

Look at what's happening with used cars and gasoline right now, those prices are well above what they were a year ago, but people are paying them. Unfortunately, gas is a necessity for most of us, and we have to pay the higher price, but if you don't need a car or pellets, then you can afford to shop around or wait till prices start to go back down. I agree with others here, it took a lot of character to make a public apology. Good on Nate for doing so!

I am sure who ever you think you offended or hurt reads this message and will quietly say not to dwell on such a minor thing in life. Move on and all will be forgotten in short order. I am sure he has received much harsher words spoke about him and has thick enough skin to move on as well.

Exactly FLgunner. Is buying stuff at thrift stores and making money on the purchases a bad practice? Cause I would be in trouble if that were the case. I've seen some pretty expensive stuff on the classifieds that sold. I feel like good for them. I respect the fact that people can make money off a bad situation. Look at the millions of dollars people have made off GunBroker selling ammo at insane prices. I lm not mad about it good for them. Pellets are the same thing as far as I am concerned.

Now what if one of your friends or neighbors sells stuff like that, you have him shoot together and you run out of ammo one week. He has plenty. Do you expect to pay the 4x rate? Or would a friend cut you a break? I mean now this is a friend who asks you for advise all the time, and you help him out. What do you say?

Good on you Nate. I've made mistakes myself on this forum posting a comment that shouldn't have been said and getting called out on it. I got defensive about it and then had to take a step back to realize what the hell I was typing and swallow my pride. Sometimes we have to be the better person and think before hitting that "submit" button.

I don't know bigtinboat I would probably be pissed if he was a close friend that I have helped out in the past. I understand if you don't want to buy from someone that does that in the future. I also don't see it as a unforgivable sin either. It's not a practice I do here for the same reason you stated I feel like you guys are my friends and I give you guys deals I'd like to find on here when I sell. I also believe strongly in the free market and don't mind someone making a buck. I was mainly commenting on the overwhelming negativity I see frequently in the threads here. I just don't like it. I mean if someone is selling lemons in the classifieds I can totally understand warning people about it and being pissed. I guess I just don't feel as strongly some about marking up something. I paid some pretty outrageous prices on ammo this year. I wasn't mad at the seller but I wouldn't do that to as friend either. I don't know I guess I am saying that I just wish people were nicer on these threads in general.
