I have no words for the mishap with Fed-Ex today!

It seems minor but it's actually fairly traumatic, because it is your OWN character and honesty that is being called into question -- and there is no immediately apparent way you can remedy the assault on it. I don't blame you for feeling not so good about it. I've been put in the same situation so many times.

Can afford a thousand dollars compressor but cant afford a $50 camera? Lol. Get a camera from ebay. They are cheap af. From $20 to $50 would get you a decent camera to record 24/7. I always record when I know my package being delivered so if they claim it was delivered I can go back and check the camera. Also if anyone stole it I can go back and check who stole it.

There is a problem as of late. No signature required for signature required packages due to Covid19 and social distancing rules.
There have been instances of dishonest UPS delivery drivers not delivering packages that were scanned as being delivered and there were those retaped boxes with items missing from orders in the past.
USPS lost packages that couldn't be tracked even when tracked up to a certain stop then no other movement after update saying out for delivery but never delivered.
No issues with Fed Ex.

To be quite honest, I never considered it. A person can spend a lifetime thinking, but they can’t think of everything.
We thought of getting a camera afterwards, naturally.
We have been quarantining deliveries and mail for three days. My son’s birthday is coming up soon. There are 5-6 boxes, three are large, on the front porch. They have been there and remain there since Thursday. I would think if the compressor did make its way to my door, and IF stolen, the other packages would be gone too.
On top of that, I work from home. My wife has been working from home since April. My son is home, and the dog comes barking when someone comes to the door. Our front porch is creaky and sounds transmit to the house louder than one would expect. I am 99.9% confident that Fed Ex never stopped by.
Here to hoping it shows today in one piece.

All mail is slow now. May come today. But...there are package thieves out there. Two years ago there was a string of them. I got a $5 fake camera with a blinking red light right over the packages. No problems at all.

That's specifically why there's insurance. Main thing you kept in constant contact with both the seller and shipper all this time.
I would immediately contact your credit card company and PayPal whichever was used to pay and let them know the item literally disappeared from tracking and haven't received it.

UPDATE:
My compressor showed up yesterday after someone who lives a few streets down came to my house with it. She was out of town for the weekend, and she didn’t notice it until she got back.
I t seems to be in one piece. My replacement is already on its way...

I just picked up a couple of these because a friend has a renter not paying the rent and having meth parties in the apartment with her convict boyfriend. I figure the Sheriff can use the information and I don't need a warrant to get it. There is a long hallway that people have to walk down to get in and out. They are the best quality video I have ever seen in a device like this at any price point. Motion detection triggered as well if you configure it. You can turn on and off the IR filters and with a little ambient heat you have something that is also NV capable. Very impressed. I wish we built them in the USA.
