I think this, in the order, will allow one to go shooting or pesting.
Engaging in outdoor exercise activities, such as walking, hiking, running, biking or golfing, but only if appropriate physical distancing practices are used.

Convincing someone that shooting birds is an outdoor exercise activity, might be a hard sell.

Just carry a golf club with you while pesting! Actually if you do a lot of walking while pesting, I don’t see much difference between that and golfing. But if you just sit on the bed of your truck then not so much.

Anyone asks, tell them you're performing "Corvid" control. They probably won't catch the difference and walk away believing you're doing something to help them not catch the virus.

Regarding "golfing" as being an "acceptible" form of engaging outdoor excercise you could say you went for a "birdie"...YO!

I think I would tell them, "I'm grocery shopping." Last I heard that was considered essential even during a lock down.

if its ok to golf, then nobody can tell me i cant drive around in the country by myself and shoot gophers from my truck.

They issued the same order here in Michigan last week. Cut the traffic in half but still quite a bit of traffic during the day. Now at night it's a different story. Very spooky going home from work late at night. Have heard of people being harassed by police after dark. Really I believe it's not enforceable. Anything short of marshall law is just a suggestion.

Michigan left parks and state lands open as long as people follow social distancing guidelines. Every time I’m out I see young ignorant kids hanging out in groups. Wonder how long before their actions cause the governor to close the parks.

Just tell them you are collecting food. Legal everywhere. You could also say you are providing needed services to support food production. Just try not to laugh when you make the pitch.
