A few days ago I got new targets I never had before. But they turned out to be 2 inch targets. Yeah like I can hit 2 inch targets at 33 feet with my air rifle standing. I can't even do it with a scope on it. Here is a picture of the targets I bought. It was 50 of them.

Even if you can't shoot at home, I'm sure you can find 10m. Put a post-it note on the wall and practice holding your cross hairs on target a few times a day (Unloaded). Then it really comes down to how much you move when pulling the trigger, the heavier the trigger the more most people move. If your 2260 still has the same trigger the discovery, there are some simple modifications to improve the trigger but I wouldn't suggest trying yet. I'd learn it as is.

can you sling the rifle, if so you can wrap the sling in your off hand elbow and by putting pressure with your elbow creating a solid hold

the open sights were crap on my air rifle. Couldn't get bullseyes at 5 yards with a 12 inch target with open sights. I don't have the open sights anymore. I threw them out.

Those targets are actually scaled to make it easier to shoot with open sights. The black should be the same width as the front sight to make it easier to aim at the specified distance. The other popular offhand game is called silhouette. They shoot 1.125" chickens at 20 yards, and slightly bigger targets at 30, 40 and 44 yards.
