I found the one(s) I've been looking for!

Through an unlikely chain of events I find myself owning two Taipan Veteran .22's, a newer Czech Repuplic made standard and a long made in Ukraine. I've been shooting FX's (5) more or less full time for two years with a Huntsman thrown in last year and had good luck and tons of shooting satisfaction with every one. Well in the pursuit of the "perfect" air gun, considering owner reviews I've read concerning the Taipan Veterans I decided to try one, just a natural progression of the hobby of course, after a week with these Taipans I must say I've found a new favorite, (for me), nothing wrong with FX's, I would recommend them to anyone. The Taipan triggers are the best I've used, Veterans are very easy to single shot load and very easy to adjust the power level with the aftermarket adjuster, both have been accurate at any power settings, so far, they have a "solid" feel about them, very quiet and I love the laminate stocks, I have a grey and a coffee and also an original beech one which has a very smooth appealing feel to it. I'm still getting to know these guns but there is no question that owner reviews I've read have been correct even under stated, I just wanted to add my voice to the Taipan praise song. My Wildcat Mk1 .22 is a hard act to follow believe me and isn't going anywhere but I do prefer the Taipans.

Beautiful Veterans! Love that coffee stock.

One week and you already have more than one 👍

Don't worry, it's normal for Taipans to start multiplying.

I used to have a Wildcat .22 MK1.

Now I have 3 of these :)

I'd love to hear some more thoughts after you've spent a few more weeks with them.
