It may not be the most tippy top of the line, but it arrives later today and it is mine. I got it for a steal through Amazon's Warehouse Deals; $79! Described as used like new with a small scratch on the outside of less than a 1/4×1/4".
My last to-remain-unnamed-brand scope was like looking through the bottom of a pint glass so I had to send it back. With all the thorn brush around here I'm sure my new scope is going to get more "character" than the warehouse deals sold it to me for in no time anyway. Scratches be darned if it works for pesting I'm happy. Sharpie anyone? Besides I'm not looking to win a beauty pageant with my dorky springer that its going on anyway.
Also the reason for the unnamed part of my former scope is because I actually liked (and still do) the brand that got sent back and don't want others to defer from trying them. I think I just got a rare dud, but I consider it luck otherwise I'd never have caught this deal when I did.
I think it will serve me well enough in the off season sitting on top of my gamo hornet. Kind of feels silly putting it on there, but it's what I've got for now.
