Hydrographics camouflage for a synthetic stock? Will it work?

When I bought my FX Royale 500 it came with the synthetic stock. Since that time I also purchased the wood stock that comes with it. I would like to take the synthetic stock and have it hydro dipped with a camp pattern. Does anyone know if this will work? I haven't contacted a company, but thought someone out there may have already done this. If you have, could you post a photo and let me know who did the work.

Hi Jim, I spoke to Scott @ http://www.hydro-dip.com/patterns/index.html

Here is his response:

"No go on anything rubber. Paint and rubber don’t bond well. It will look cool for two days then fall off and make a big mess. A long lasting durable finish requires a strong chemical or mechanical bond from base primer/paint to substrate. sorry...

Scott runs one of the oldest, largest, and best hydro-dipping facilities in the country. Their prices are very competitive too. If you really want the stock dipped, it sounds like you'll have to remove the soft-touch rubber first.

Hope this was helpful
