This is where it gets fun. Try as many different pellets as you can afford to buy. Different manufacturers (domed pellets usually shoot best for longer distances ) different sizes...some pellets are available in various sizes ie: 5.53 /5.54 / 5.55 all in .22 caliber. Different barrels will like different sizes. Seems overwhelming but if you really want max out the potential of a quality springer like you bought, then take your time and enjoy the process. Also, you bought a quality German airgun don't forget to try some quality German pellets in it. Mine shoots H&N brand better than anything else. H&N field target trophies 14.66 gr. and in .22 you can try all 3 sizes 5.53 - 5.55 Pyramyd has all these. Also Air Arms Diabolo field .22 in 16 gr. (5.51 size) and 18 gr. (5.52 size)

I'm testing 5 springer for field target and Silhouette.....this is what I have so far. Lol. Enjoy, it part of the fun.

I Would definitely try the H&N FTT as they come in 3 different head diameter 5.53,5.54 and 5.55. These pellets also have thicker skirts and can stand the hard hit from a springer. I don’t remember exactly where but I read that there has been some mention of Weihrauch barrels having large bores in .22 caliber but I have never been able to confirm this. With that said mine do like larger diameter pellets. I have an R1 Hunter carbine Vortek Tuned that chrony’s right at 800 with 5.54 Diameter FTT 14.66. My hw95 Vortek Tuned runs 705 with the 14.66 FTT 5.55 Diameter. Both will shoot either pellet but prefer different diameter’s. All of my .177s Hw 95 ,HW 97 and R9 tend to shoot about all H&N or JSB’s at around 12 -14 ft lbs but when you get to the R1 .177 Hunter carbine at 17 ft lb’s it is back to H&N again. I would never rule out the JSB’s until I tried them. I would like to know you finding on the hw97 in .22. Also is the rifle tuned or in stock form.

Ok and if I forgot to mention I like Weihrauch Rifles & Vortek Tune Kits
