better scope out there? with a side parallax adjustment?

ill be shooting from 15yrds to 40, target and tree rats, mainly sitting on my butt at a table

ive got around 200.00 to spend

These are supposed to be Springer rated, but you may could do better with a Hawke Airmax if you can swing it. I had the scope you listed here and it was a huge waste of $, it died the second it smelled a bit of water.

Opinions will vary, but my Springers are usually 12fpe, I don’t use a special mount, but I do like using the UTG 11 to Picatiny adapter. It is rock solid, let’s me use the rings I want, and allows for larger scopes if you want to use one.

I won't recommend the Z mount, not needed for the HW97. The price of the mount is not cheap, go and put that money toward a better scope. I don't have the HW but I have the TX200 and I'm more than happy with this scope:

I just noticed the price went up, so if it was me, today, I'll getting this one instead:

but this is me, because I like the FFP, if you are into SFP I see a lot of the Athlon scopes with good price.

I second the Hawke Air Max. Hawke has made changes in their reticule designs in the last few years. What ever you buy, be sure to see what the reticule looks like first, it may not be to your liking.

They come in 1 inch tubes and 30MM tubes with a wide variety of optical ranges. If you can wait, dvor.com ( a wing of Optics Planet) often has good deals on Hawke scopes. I have bought from them often with good results. My Air Max came from Dvor.

I have my scope mounted directly to my HW97 and it works just fine in that configuration.

With a $200.00 budget, I can recommend the Athlon Talos 6-24X50. As seen here, I have one on my .177 Walther LGU which is similar to Your HW97. Very nice, clear scope with an Excellent reticle and a Lifetime/No BS warranty. Hope this helps You.

Mike.

Btw,I fitted it with a UTG sidewheel. Very easy to do.

Ive got one of those rails,,there nice units, so a +1 there lol, now to find a scope to sit on it

There's a guy on this forum named Joe Wayne Rhea. He has just done a couple youtube videos on scopes for 2019. You might take the time to watch them. Interesting stuff....no nonsense...no sponsorship. I know his opinions hold some weight. Some really good recommendations

+1

Check this one. Joe did a review and I'll try it at some point.... I don't own this one but for the price.... why not... check the reviews in Amazon... impressive

don't waste $ on the ZR mount in my opinion. Get a sightron SIH for under $200. MOA reticle w/moa turrets. Or like others said, the $ you save from NOT getting a ZR mount can be added towards your kitty for the scope. I got a airmax 4-16 SF w/AMX reticle but to me its not the cats meow and i'm sure you can check joe's videos and you'll get there soon enough
