HW97k owners - what scope mount/ scope are you using? Looking for some info

I got a HW97 in .22 on way to me- I was going to mount some 2 piece sport match or RWS 1 piece mount, but did little ready on the gun, and figured I better get better mount. Looking at getting BKL 1 piece mount / drop compensation- & as far as scopes go, I was looking at putting a Hawke 3x12x44 AO Vantage side focus scope on it. I’m using the gun for mostly target & pesting/ hunting - mostly 30 yards or shorter. Was interested to see what others are using, and how they like there set up to.

Hawke Vantage is not springer rated, under 12 ft/lbs recommended. Be wary of that BKL droop mount, you might not be able to use it, ask me how I know. My Beeman 97K is presently wearing BKL double strap rings for the 30mm MTC Genisis LR sitting on top.

You can't go wrong with Sports Match rings. I have them on my HW97. As for scopes, make sure you get a springer rated scope, otherwise you'll be sending them in for repair. Between my HW 97 and Diana 470TH, I sent 4 scopes back for repair last year.

I use the BKL 1-piece or the 2-piece double strap rings on my 77Ks. Work fine for me and don't move. Just a lot easier to deal with than the clamping wedge type rings. Mine aren't snarling beasts with huge heavy scopes though, if you plan to get into all that go with the one piece just to be sure it won't move.

Thanks for the Feed back - I haven’t bought any airguns or scopes in several years - still was shooting what I got but not much in past few years. Seen there’s some of newer brands, wasn’t sure how good some of them are. Plus never even held let alone shot HW97, don’t want to buy anything that’s not going to work well with the gun.

I own two 97’s and one 77. Have tried the various two piece high quality and more expensive adjustable mounts and have now completed the migration on all of my springers to the RWS one piece lockdown droop mount in 30mm. I find it to be a far more stable platform. For my Weihrauch and TX rifles, I use either Hawke Airmax or Vortex Diamondback scopes.
