I have both, and I'm with Matt in this...neither one is particularly hold sensitive. When I first got my 97 in .22, I believed it to be very, very slightly easier to shoot accurately than the TX, also in .22, but that rapidly faded away as I because inured to the rifle. Now, both are very easy to shoot well, and neither is finicky.

In my mind, neither is better than the other. That's why I eventually purchased both. When I buy the Walther LGU, I'll have the Trifecta of European Breakbarrels.

You will not regret it. The TX is easier to service, but not a deal breaker. I also hated that ratchet it makes.

I bought an hw97k in .177 from Krale about 4 years ago. It was then, and remains, the best deal around. It is setup to shoot at about 12fpe and has become my favorite spring gun. The accuracy is excellent, as is the shot to shot consistency and it gets used often. I hunt a lot and my only ding is that it weighs 11 pounds with an Airmax 4-12x scope. A sling is a must if you plan to hunt IMHO.

All that said, I’m sure that I’ll buy a TX200 at some point, probably an HC in .177.

Good luck choosing.

I keep seeing that Krale is a great deal but looking right now at the blue laminate version it is the same price as PA after the 80.00 shipping. Am I missing something?

$452 plus $40 shipping from Krale. $689 from Pyramyd. If you haven't been on the Krale site much, it may still be showing the price including VAT tax. Once it figures out you are not it Europe it takes that off. Some of the later shipments of Weihrach rifles at AOA and Pyramyd have come down closer in price. They know they are losing sales.
