I've never seen a springer with a set trigger before.
According to AoA , it is shooting 8.4gr JSBs at 780fps. I didn't bother running it over the chrony as my #s are usually the same as AoAs.
I have tried 3 different pellets so far, 8.4 JSB, 7.87 AA & 7.33 AA. At 25 yds, other than POI, they all shot the same, dime size groups. Keep in mind I started shooting for groups with only 10rds down the barrel. Also, this is straight out of the box. All I did was run a couple of patches thru the barrel. The trigger definitely needs adjustment, it is a little on the heavy side. With some more time with the rifle and a trigger adjustment, I have no doubt I could get the groups down to thumbtack size.
I didn't know how I was going to feel about the barrel latch but I like it. No smacking the barrel to break it open and after just a few shots it started to become habit. Also, I really like the lock-up, sounds like the proverbial bank vault

Weihrauch has done away with the forend finger grooves in the new updated stock? Man, that's gonna sting for a lot of folks, myself included. That was the most "classic" feature on the rifle.
Also, did you remove the front sling swivel?
It does still look very handsome though, and the stock looks to have a very nice shape while keeping a classic look. And sounds like yours sure does shoot! Congrats, and I hope you continue to enjoy it for a long time. Thanks for the pics!

Wow!!! That's a nice looking rifle!!! But it seems a little different than the 35e that is pictured in the weihrauch catalog. Is this a new stock design by weihrauch or a custom one? The finger grooves the old one gave the rifle a more classic retro feel to it.

Straight from AoA. This is from a fresh batch from HW. A few days before I ordered AOA's website showed OOS. I emailed to see when they expected them in and the reply said they just came in and they hadn't updated their website yet. I assume this is the way all HW35Es will be from now on. Hopefully not the one sling swivel. That would be stupid because if you bought your own front swivel it will be a mis-match

I see! Interesting thing to see on a rifle like this. I mean it's considered a classic and the finger grooves were a distinctive feature. Still the new updated stock looks really really nice too!! Is it still walnut?
The front swivel was probably just forgotten? I have sent message to weihrauch so I guess we will have to see what they answer.
Also, really love the scope you put on the rifle!!! It gives it a very sleek look!!! What is the model?

The scope is a Japanese Bushnell Banner 4X32. I purchased it as new old stock. I adjusted the parallax to airgun distances.

As for the sling swivels, the rifle will STILL have both of them (stock and barrel). So perhaps the reason why your rifle didn't have a front swivel is because they forgot about it during qc or something? (i asked them about that too).

That's a DST (Double Set Trigger). It came from the Walther factory on this 10 meter gun. One trigger sets the sear the other fires the gun. My trigger gauge weighed the "second stage" at less than one ounce. These triggers were quickly outlawed for 10 meter competitions and so were tyrolean stocks since they provided too much advantage to the shooter. Guess this is an outlaw gun.

I have a flintlock that I built with period correct double set triggers from the 1850s. I'm always amazed at how much they can help accuracy. I'm surprised more guns never used them. Especially if they have been around for almost 200 years.

Another rifle that had a double set trigger was the sharps rifle. It used to be a very accurate rifle that was used extensively for buffalo hunting in the old west!!! If I recall correctly there was a version of it with a very old primitive scope that was designed for use by sharpshooters!!

As mentioned above, I sent AoA a message thru their website.
I did not receive a response from them but I did get a shipping notice from them. I "assume" it is the swivel ( hopefully an OEM swivel ) but I do have some scope mounts on backorder so I will not know until the package arrives.
