HW35E vs HW50S

Hey guys,
i have the itch to pick up another springer. Thinking .22 for small game , back yard target and basic pest control. I’m leaning towards one of the two listed in the topic. I like the HW35E because of the beatiful walnut and it already has sling swivels. Anybody out there own both of these. They aren’t cheap and I would like to hear the pros and cons of each if possible. I have an HW30 urban pro that I love in 177 and also a Beeman R9 also in 177. I am just searching for a little bit smoother softer .22 that shoots more like the HW30 . Thanks guys.

Bob

If you're looking for something in between HW30 and HW95 -> HW35 is a great choice. It's a solid, smooth and classic looking airgun. Very shootable and one of the most reilable springers ever made in a history of airguns.

It's neither my pic nor my gun, but this is one stunning looking HW35:

I can' figure out how to add my pictures into the post, they are large and High Def. I find that I take my Soft Tune HW50 on outings that require walking, they are all amazing, mine are all tuned by John Thomas. The HW50 is the Perfect size, for What I think will be practical for you, slightly larger than the H30, Slightly smaller and lighter than the H35E. I love them all, and at one point own the HW50 & HW35. My HW30 is Nickle in Laminate, My HW50 is the Typical Blued/Wood, and the HW35E is Nickle/Walnut, email me for pictures or texted me (917) eight eight seven- five 3 two zero, I work from 6pm-10am, so anytime to call or texted, or email is fine.

I just bought an HW54 Airking 177, it' being send to John Thomas for a Soft 14 ft lb tue, I like Soft Tune Springers, & Use my PCPS for higher power, my HWS are all 177

I am going to guess you meant Diana 54 Air King ? No biggy. I just received an Air King in .177 . Carrying that beast very far would be work. I will use it at the bench or from my Caldwell Deadshot Fieldpod , often in a hide tent. If I must walk , the venerable FWB 124D I bought in 1979 is much more manageable , and it has a sling. I am going out today to sight the 54 in , and begin finding the best pellet. I am thinking a heavy pellet around 10.5 grain maybe the trick. That is how it turned out with my Umarex Octane. Accurate at close range with the CP 7.97 ammo , the pellets would tumble past 30+ yards. Is that because they went over the speed of sound at the muzzle , but then got destabilized as they slowed down ? I used the H and N Baracuda Match 10.65 grain pellet and the problem went away. Only a guess , but the heavy ammo served me better. I let the Octane go away , and if a springer suits me , then the 54 might be it. I also shoot a Walther Rotex in .22 for hunting , and that rifle is accurate. (15.59 JSP )

Yea I have a few more years to retirement, then I’m out of this crazy state. Noodles I will send an email. Sorry for the delay , I’ve been out on a road trip on the Harley. Found my self in Phoenix on Thursday so I stopped in and met the folks at AOA. Wow talk about a nice group. Those guys were really polite and super helpful. Thanks again for a nice visit AOA.
