HW35 owners Deleted

I have a Feinmark HW35 also and the gun is limited by the German government to 7.5 joules which is about what yours is shooting. Unless your barrel is severely rusted it should clear up with a good workout with a rod and a brass brush. Due to the dimensions of the transfer port on earlier guns you are probably best off retaining the leather seal. Leather seals are pretty indestructible and usually can be revived by soaking in neatsfoot oil or silicone oil if neatsfoot is not available. Your rifle should be extremely smooth and accurate at reasonable range. A stouter spring can lift the output power, but personally I would keep it stock.
If you don't want to mess with it I'm sure someone would be delighted to have it. The gun is a classic.

Was wondering how the HW35 turned out.
I purchased an old HW35E serial# 72xxx about a year ago. It was shooting JSB Exact Express 7.87 at 398fps when it arrived.
Stripped it down and found the spring packed full of what looked and smelled like axle grease. The piston seal was leather and in great shape. The spring looked good so I reused it also. After soaking parts, thoroughly cleaning and properly lubing, it was shooting 719fps using the same pellet. The leather breech seal was a little damaged so i swapped it for a modern one. It was hard, brittle and a real bear getting out, but gained a few fps. The rifle now consistently shoots 726fps (9.21fpe)

"Jonah"Continued to work on cleaning the barrel. Have no idea what was in it, but it continues to clean up an has begun to perform as one would expect. Probably take it to the Texas airgun show and sell or trade it. I Really like my FWB 124 much better. Have to decide what value to place on it.
Let me know when you come up with a number, I may be interested if you are willing to ship it to AL.
