Hw30 diana 240

Just bought these 2 guns and the 240 .177 showed up the other day so I cleaned the barrel and put a couple pellets through it just to check out the sound of cocking and shot cycle. A little crunchy at first but after shooting it today already starting to smoothen up. Now as for it being as good as a hw30 177 I can't say that yet but it does show promise. Even my 30 in 177 isn't broken in yet but out of the box accurate, smooth and a complete joy to shoot. My hw30 in .22 showed up today so cleaned to barrel and decided to put a few pellets through them both. It was rather impromptu shooting and they both deserve better but I will get to that later. As with my 30 177 the 30 22 is a complete and total joy and surprise. Just put probably 50 or so rounds thought them and can't wait to do more. Both of these guns show a lot of promise as great shooters but I think the weihrauch will win out in the end but to me that's not a surprise as I love thier guns. Groups on right or target are 22, 2 left rows are 177. Was a little windy today but didn't bother the guns the crappy shooting was me and trying to get used to guns before I do anything to them, just straight out of box. Shooting at 10yd both with some crosman pellets.

I shot my HW30 in .22 at 30 yards, (It was with iron sights at an indoor range.) The groups were pretty decent, but even with light pellets there was about 8 inches of drop from the 8 yards I can shoot in my basement. These guns are pure joy to shoot though! Thanks for your thoughts on the 240. I thought about one in 177 but wasn't sure what to expect.

dianas always take forever to ' run in ' (break in peroid).......2-3 tins of 500 ct pellets. and the pistols even more so..... but after that first love / hate relationship with my .177 diana 36 , it was as good and maybe better as a .177 r9. it was easier to cope with that when 1000 fps synth piston seal dianas were about $150 vs the $300 r1.
