HW 97k Blue Laminate in Review!

I would recommend 97 to anyone who wanted there first good springer but not the stock. I only bought mine because it was the only one pretty enough to be next to my air arms. I believe the laminate stocks are Baltic birch and are more brittle at the cross grain. The battery placement on the redwolf is nuts but I'm not worried. It only asked to for improvement unlike my air arm 200. The trigger adjustment screw was so loose on mine it would have fallen out .

Very nice rifle. What a nice addition it would be with my custom Beeman 97K .22. What a pair of 97s to be proud of!

If it were mine........I'm thinkin' a Motorhead tune on this beauty, get 'er about 12-13ft/lbs of baby butt smoooooth. I have a NIB Hawke Airmax30 SF 4X16 I bought when Dvor had them on sale that might just be a match made in heaven.

I have 2 HW97K's in Blue Laminate (ordered from Pyramyd) and 1 of the limited edition Centennials in Green laminate. Very accurate and well worth the investment.

I drove to Gilbert, AZ on roads covered in snow on black ice to pick up my HW 97k blue lam. It was a consignment piece at AOA
that Jared had already mounted the scope and tested for best shooting pellet JSB Exact Diablo. The previous owner had installed a
Steve Pope "Accuglide" kit in it. And it shoots sweet at 637 fps. The only thing I don't like about the gun is the weight. With a 6-24
Hawke on top of a set of Sportsmatch adjustable rings it tips the scales at over 13 lbs. Not a gun that you would to shoot off hand
unless you have big biceps. I'm right at the 3/4 century mark. But it is the most accurate springer I've ever had the pleasure to own.
It's in .20 cal and I also own a Beeman RX2 in .20; I have just aquired a FX Crown Synthetic stocked .25 that can shoot circles
around the HW 97k, but is in a whole other price range. Shoot straight, shoot often, and always shoot safely for the X ring.

Def a 'workout' rifle.. why not. Lol. Despite the heft reminds me of my M1A. Just feels so nice in the hands/good handling.
Anyway mine..pic above (with the 77k) is at 10.13lbs, with Hawke Airmax 30 compact (3-12x), on a sportsmatch dampa. Pretty much same as Steve's posting.

Since December and still waiting, I have had one in 20 cal on the order of Pyramyd Air. They said it would be at the end of March in their next shipment from Weirauch, but they will not breathe my air with worldwide delays. It was just above $500,00 with a discount code when I bought it, but since that time the price has increased. There is also a good Bushnell Engage 3-12, I picked up from Midway for $200,00 just waiting for a spot to settle down. io games build royale

The HW97K is one of my all-time favorite springers. Incredibly well-balanced in the hand, and simply a joy to shoot. Mine is in .177 and set in the newer stock design.
