HW 95 .22 cal

I just got my new Weihrauch HW 95 today. I am never getting another clone. I bought this gun in "like new mint condition" with only about 300 shots through the barrel. I have a BAM B26 in .177 and while it is true that they look pretty much like twins, I have been properly introduced to the real deal and I only shot it for a little less than an hour. My B26 is tuned so it sounds better than the German gun but even with only 300 or so shots through it, as soon as I got a scope on it and got on paper it was putting JSB Jumbo 15.89gr pellets in the same hole over and over and the trigger is on another planet. When it comes to smallbore I have Anschutz, CZ and Izhmash and they are all amazing. I can rave for days about how fabulous my Russian match gun is and my 1907 Anschutz that good but its trigger is measured in grams, not ounces. I'm a rimfire snob and with good reason. Unfortunately I've been a bargain shopper when it comes to air rifles, but that nonsense is OVER. This HW95 sounds almost as twangy as my Gamo Shadow used to before I lube tuned it. Just damn! I'm going to be doing a sale soon to start replacing some pretty ok guns with some really great ones.

I got a .22 Beeman R9 in 2010-it shot like a tuned gun right out of the box! I couldn't get why folks mentioned twang, then I got one in .20 for my brother-in-law, that one's twangy, but still shoots like a laser! I dropped a Vortek kit in my .22 after five years and 6000 or so rounds. Power is back up and shoots even smoother than ever. Here it is in an R10 deluxe stock I found at an airgun show.

Actually, it is a $299 AOA gun but I bought it from a gentleman on GTA who only had it for about 1 tin of pellets. He had only shot about 300 rounds through it and it was in perfect condition. Everything is very smooth. It has a slight buzz sound but I'm OK with that. It is shooting really tight groups at 20 yards which is great for a springer. I have some spinners at about 35 yes and I am hitting them just fine.
