Anyone tried that combo in .22? The Nielsen website says that they have had success with factory Daystate barrels, but wondering if they need to be pushed faster than what the XL can do. Have read reports of XL's in .22 doing well with 18 & 21 grain pellets... the slugs are available in 19 & 21 grain weights so... seems logical that slugs of similar weight could perform well. Make sense, or wishful thinking???
Considering a Regal XL HR in .22 (already have the non-regulated XL in .177). Leaning more & more toward the slug route (especially for hunting), so figure I better get the scoop for any future rifle purchase.
