hunting or target and pest control with bulldog357

Okay guys! I have a five year old and have been helping him with his daycare homework. I believe I am qualified to translate. Blackboard is wondering, if you had to choose a use for the Bulldog, what would it be? Either Hunting, pest control, or target practice?

I had one. Definitely not target practice. It is unchoked, unregulated, and over powered. Even if you regulated it, it still is not accurate enough to risk on a game animal, in my opinion. So, just use it to blow poop up. I hit a gopher with it once. Wish i had a scope cam..humm....I miss those memories!

Oh, by the way, Blacksword, send me a rough draft of your next post before it goes on line. I got C's in English class, but that must have been way better than what you got. Have a good day.

I tend to use a smaller .25 caliber with cheaper rounds for pesting. I have a Bulldog as well, it is reserved for large game use, due to the cost of the Nosler Extreme rounds.

I do not consider it a match target gun, but perhaps I have recently got better results than others have experienced. When I first got it, the groups were about 3 MOA at 100 yards. But with more rounds down the bore, and a new scope, it has tightened to about 1 MOA (when I do not make obvious errors).

that funny got As English all way up 7 grade until I hit high school no like smart freshmen that been years ago

that's nearly what I am saying hunting is survival ok big bore air rifle as I got and kill a deer 100 lb to 200 pounds that just one option but good option you feed your family

pest control other option say you have farm ther wolves take down your live stock you dont want to spooked them off with shot gun to loud big bore might compressed you can take thoes pest

target shooting is fun and helpful training the aim to get better there all option even I can get way with of defends that topic can not talk about here

Abbertooth,

Yea I tried hard to get my Bulldog accurate, but never really got content with it. I spent a lot time and money. Never got mine close to MOA at a hundred. The Noslers were too expensive and not super accurate, so I bought JSB 81grains and tuned it down to 820ft/sec (120fpe) and regulated it. Could only get 3-3.5 MOA at 100 consistently, which is more than enough medium to small game (power wise) but not enough accuracy for precision kills. An accurate high end .22 or .25 clean head shots are better than a dirty dumping of a rabbit's guts all over a field, in my opinion.

So, all in all, in my opinion, a Bulldog is just an over powered "fun gun" for close to medium range on pests, (I would never risk a long shot on a trophy buck in less than ideal conditions). The Bulldog is just there to help put a smile on shooters' faces and to watch pests' furr and misty red blood hit the ground for cheap amusement.

So, Blacksword,

Have so fun with it. It has enough power to kill large game just get close enough, like slightly farther than archery range I'd say. Or, just forget it and hunt with a bow instead because it is not much different.

He's talking about the way you phrase things. You are not a native English speaker even though you keep saying you are. I'm not trying to start trouble with you, I'm just telling you why people say these things. It's like you are translating through a very bad translator. Please tell us your native language. I like all good people and do not have a problem with any other country. We are all friends here with a common interest. If you need a better translator, this one http://imtranslator.net/ lets you compare and back translate.
