Huma with an ES of 58?! = a Wacky Regulator –or– a Wacky Operator ?
OK, help me out here. I have a Huma reg. in my Skyhawk .22
And it used to give me an extreme spread (ES) of 20fps at most when the reg was set to 130bar.
Now, recently I have set the regulator to 150bar (=max.) and I get an ES of 58...?! (cf. pic below)
What's up with that?!
Related Question:
I really don't understand what happens inside the regulator, forgive my ignorance.
But I'm wondering....
The Huma regulator has a sticker on it with a scale from 70 bar to 150 bar, and in the center is the regulating screw with a thin line (an indentation), I assume this is what marks the setting the regulator is set it.
Now...., what happens if I turn the regulator screw from 130bar to 140bar, to 150bar – and then a quarter turn more....?
Does the regulator setting jump back down from 150bar to 70, as the scale on the sticker says?
Or does that break the regulator?
Or....?
