Huma Regulator Output Non-existent

I am modifying my gen 2 Marauder .177 with a Huma regulator, Hill hammer, hammer spring and valve spring (Tim Hill is awesome, btw. Super helpful and quick responses to all my inquiries). Anyway, I have it all put together and there is almost nothing coming out of the barrel. I have the regulator with the gauge port and the gauge is reading almost, but not quite zero. I have had this thing apart and put back together several times.What could be wrong? 
 
"Huub74"Sounds like you have turned in the setscrew to far, so the reg is actually closed.
Try to open it up anti clockwise in steps of 15 min per time.
The gauge port will allow you to check the output pressure.
Screw the gauge in just hand thight, otherwise the o-ring will get deformed and blocks the gauge hole.

I think I'd go with this reply..........especially since this is the guy who built your reg.

Since you do have slightly more then ZERO I doubt it's in backwards.
